Since we were children at the nursery school we’ve been taught and learned the basics of good health: eat fruit and vegetables, workout and move your body, drink water. Then, growing up and especially in these days, things became a little bit more complicated, so it is important that our understanding and awareness of personal health evolves too.
Self-Care Practices
Start practicing self-care routines and habits is an easy way to take some personal inventory of yourself and restore your mind and body to pre-stress levels. Stress is a natural state of mind and body, and it is not bad in itself, it is the lack of recovery from stress which is bad for our health, both mind and body health. So, let’s learn and regain good practices to recover from stress. You don’t need to go on a pricey retreat or spend the weekend in the middle of the woods to feel rejuvenated; sometimes self-care can be as easy as taking a few extra sips of water, splurging on a fancy sheet mask, or challenging yourself to use a new eyeshadow…. the magic ingredients are AWARENESS and MINDFULNESS!
Self-Care and Beauty
Self-care and beauty are intimately linked, as every gesture of self-care has direct and visible benefits on our body, skin and face. Let’s see three self-care beauty tips!
Sleep! we’re supposed to be getting seven to nine hours of sleep for our body to fully recover from the day; sleeping is important for your physical and mental well-being, allowing pour body to rest and reset; also, the night hours are the ones in which our skin cells are mostly active and regenerate so a good sleep will have a beneficial output on your face.
Move! You don’t need necessarily to go to the gym…. a walk, a mini dance party also have some major benefits for our mental health. Exercise floods your body with endorphins, which trigger feelings of happiness. The result? A mellower, more relaxed you and a glowy skin.
Make Time for You-Time! Sometimes taking care of yourself falls to the very bottom of your to-do list, especially when you’re busy checking in with loved ones and putting out fires at work. Always create room in your agenda for your mindful date with yourself, 5 minutes are enough…. check out how YA.BE – Mindful Beauty does it.
